C.A.S.P. –Cole After School Program

The C.A.S.P. activities are offered each fall and spring and offers a variety of fun, after-school activities for students in K through 5. Programs run for six weeks, unless otherwise noted and cost $55. Some classes, may have an added materials fee. Please note that the JEDI Lego classes are from 3:20-5:00 and the fee is $100.00 not $55.00

Cookin’ Kids – Your child will bring home meals accompanied by healthy dips and delectable desserts.  Students will learn proper hygiene practices and helpful kitchen techniques while having a lot of fun making terrific meals for their families. (***4 WEEKS ONLY ––  May 7,14, 21 & June 4)  Instructors:  Cindy Loring, Ann Guerra, and Maria Fanning   Grades:  3-5 Class Size:  12 Students            *** Additional Materials Fee: $35 

Cake Decorating-Did you ever wonder how to decorate a cake? Learn how to decorate various baked goods. Students will be given their own “tips” and will learn how to create beautiful desserts. Over the course of four classes they will learn to write, create shell borders, simple flowers, leaves and stars.  The children will use both traditional icing along with royal icing . The children can let their imagination go because cake is a blank canvas. Might just be to beautiful to eat, at least until after dinner!  *****4 week class May 7,14,21 & June 4    Instructor: Catrina Dirubbo, Grades:3-5, Class size: 8 Additional Material Fee: $15

Jedi Engineering With LEGO: Young Jedi will explore worlds far, far away and engineering principles right in front of them. Defeat the Empire by designing and refining Lego X-Wings, R2-units, and settlements on far-flung edges of the galaxy. and engineering combine to create motorized and architectural projects such as energy catapults, shield generators and defense turrets. Grades K-3.  Teacher: Jedi Master Laura Fallon, Certified Play-Well Instructor

HANDS IN CLAY: Sink your hands into cool soft clay. Discover where clay comes from. Explore and create exciting projects like pinch pots, animals, much more.  Teacher Mr. Menice Grades 1-3 Material fee $20


Computer Classes
-This class will help your children learn the QWERTY method of typing through fun hands-on computer games/tests. They will have 50 minutes perclass on the computer learning how to type better and efficiently and 10minutes of computer basics. They will learn the basics of the computer, MS Word and Powerpoint. Instructor–Sarah Summers, Grades 4 & 5

Keeping it Real Cooking: Adventurous eaters and curious kids wanted! Quinoa , kale, orzo, couscous, beautiful beans, fresh herbs, and a variety of vegetables and fabulous fruits! Make healthy snacks in the kitchen with Mrs. Loring and learn how to make healthier choices! Grades 2-5 Teacher Mrs. Loring Material fee $15

Boot Camp– Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to train with Matt Hagan of Veteran Training.  Veteran Training runs successful youth & adult boot camps in Norwell and the South Shore. Veteran Training Youth Program offers a fitness boot camp opportunity for children for all ages to experience, develop, grow, and excel by participating in fun fitness programs. This program builds confidence, improves fitness levels, and provides life skills through an adventure activity Boot Camp! The Youth Boot Camp program’s activities increase coordination development while building self-esteem and team work. The proceeds for the Veteran Training Boot Camps will go directly to the certified Massachusetts Non-Profit, Veterans in Service and the Military Care Package Program.Instructor:  Matt Hagan  Grades: 2-5  Class size: 15

Karate- This class will serve as an introduction to basic karate techniques and skills. Children will learn stretching techniques, balance, and practice focus skills. Striking and kicking techniques are taught and developed on foam pads. Age appropriate self defense tactics through words and body language are practiced. Games are played to support these new found skills and have fun. Sensei Fred has been teaching Karate for ten years and holds a Massachusetts teaching license and currently is working on his masters degree in education. Instructor-Fred Channel  Grades K-3 Size: 10

Duck Tape Projects: Learn how to make wallets, flowers, bags, bracelets and some other cute things! Instructor: Mrs. Austin Grades 3-5 Class size: 12   Additional Material fee: $15                                   

Oragami: Learn how to make fortunetellers, frogs and other cool paper projects.Grades 2-5 Teacher: Susannah Warren Material fee: $10

Funderstanding Science-THURSDAY – Over the course of six weeks, students will explore Newton’s Laws of physics, the basics of aerodynamic principles and explore mild chemical reactions while having fun in a safe and supervised environment.  The kids will launch handmade rockets, fly paper airplanes, create polymer green slime, erupt a volcano, and learn about roller coaster design.  Instructor – Myra Lyne.  Grades 3-5                   Class size: 10        Additional Materials fee: $15

French for Kids – This age appropriate French class will expose the children to French through all kinds of fun activities. Parlez-vous français?  (Do you speak french)? Instructors: NHS AP Students Grades: K-3, Class size: 12

Kids Yoga: This class will allow your child to unwind while learning to stretch, strengthen and move their bodies with awareness in a safe and nurturing environment. Grades K-2 Teacher Kerry Donnelly

Zumba—Our very own Cole School Mom, Toni Clifford, is the Zumba Queen!  She has been working in the fitness industry for over 20 years and we are so honored to have her offer this program to our children!  Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-tofollow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away! Parents please come on the last class and watch your children have fun and exercise their body and mind at the same time! Instructor: Toni Clifford Grades: 2-5 Class size: 15 

Pokemon Club: Each week, the club will explore the unique characteristics of each of the different types of Pokemon. Pokemon Trainers will have the opportunity to learn and play the Pokemon Trading Card Game! Grades 2-5 Teacher: Krystal Dude
